My favorite gourmet French food specialty store in the Toronto area. Located on the Danforth in the heart of Greektown is Douce France. This store carries imported French food ranging from jams, cookies, cheeses, butter and other food ingredients. They also have fresh made pastries, sweets and chocolates, which are all very tasty. Owner and staff always carry a smile and are happy to serve you. For those that miss/reminisce the Paris small boutique shop vibe, then this shop is a must visit.

A cute little authentic French Cafe in the middle of Greek town. You know how good it is the moment you enter the cafe, the aroma of all the bakery products and chocolates hits you hard. I tried their best seller ‘almond chocolate croissant’ and I instantly knew why it is so popular. The prices are on the higher end but would definitely love to visit again to try more bakery items.

The tarts, chocolate and butter biscuits were AMAZING!!! The almond chocolate pear tart, almond pistachio apricot tart, and the plum tart (pure butter quetsche tart) were all delicious and heavenly. The pear in the almond chocolate pear tart was so good. The almond pistachio apricot tart was just a great combo of sweetness and buttery goodness wrapped in a tart. The plum tart was a delight on our taste buds with the plum being not too sweet or sour. Overall, the tarts were rich in buttery goodness making the tarts pop out in flavour and texture. The salted butter caramel palets bretons (butter biscuits) had a great balance of chewiness, being moist, caramel sweetness, and awesome texture. The butter biscuits were just awesome. Would definitely recommend. We tried their chocolates which were good. The lemon yuzu ganache had that awesome combo of lemon yuzu flavour followed by the sweet chocolate taste. Both the sesame praline and candied chestnut ganache were awesome in flavour and were just chocolaty good.

I've never had French pastry and was glad that we walked by and decided to give it a try. Light and fluffy, absolutely delicious. Definitely a must have. I should have purchased 2. I can't wait to drop off more orders nearby. And real French accents too, amazing. I truly felt as if I was in a bakery shop in France ????????. The two mademoiselle were pleasantly delightful. Merci beaucoup
